Oakley Square’s Newest LEED Homes

Cincinnati’s Oakley neighborhood has become one of the most sought-after locations for new development, due to it’s history, convenient location, and variety of local galleries, shops & restaurants. Now complete, Oakley Square has four new townhome condominiums with new residents taking full advantage of the walkable lifestyle.  Each new home is pursuing LEED Gold Certification, offering one of the highest quality & innovative new homes on the market.

Pfeiffer Architecture + Development worked with PLK Communities to bring the new 4-unit luxury townhome development to Oakley.  Three of the homes are sold, and the last home remaining listed at $679,900.00 was recently completed and filed paperwork for evaluation under the US Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes program.

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, and in addition to the health benefits and sustainable technologies built into the home, it qualifies for a 15-year tax abatement in the City of Cincinnati through the Community Reinvestment Area Residential Tax Abatement program.  At the Gold level, the home’s property taxes are abated for 15 years up to $562,000 in value, translating into approximately $200,000 in savings passed along to the owner.
